Can I eat this?

One app that checks any food, drink or menu against everything you avoid, shows what suits you at your supermarket, finds recipes and a weekly plan that fit, and keeps a diary of what sits well with you.

Every feature, free for everyone. Nothing to unlock, ever.

Four things it does, together

Most apps do one of these. TrustCrumb does all four, and they talk to each other: what you learn in the diary changes every check, every item at the shop and every recipe.

Check anything against your needs

Scan a barcode, photograph a label, or search by name. TrustCrumb reads the ingredients against everything you avoid and gives one clear row per selection, with the ingredient or amount that decided it. Eating out? Photograph the menu and get an answer for each dish.

  • Not a fixed allergen list: add your own items, in your own words
  • Works on a restaurant menu, not just packaged food
  • Asks one yes/no question when a label is unclear, rather than guessing

What suits you at the shop

Pick your supermarket and browse real, named products, each one screened against your selections before it reaches the list. Items are grouped by aisle, so the list follows the order you'd walk the shop. When a check goes against you, ask for a swap and get something from the same shelf that came back clear on everything you avoid.

  • Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose in the UK; Woolworths, Coles and IGA in Australia
  • Grouped by aisle, with a count of how many items actually suit you
  • Ask for a swap when something is not for you, and get one that is
  • Tap an item to open your shop's own search for it

Recipes and a weekly plan that fit

Hundreds of recipes, each checked ingredient by ingredient against your selections, so what you see is what you can cook. Save favourites, share your own recipes, build a week of meals in a tap and turn it into a shopping list.

  • Every recipe shows how it fits, selection by selection
  • A seven-day plan built only from recipes that fit you
  • A shopping list with the quantities added up for you
  • Save the ones you like, add your own, and share them with others

A diary of what sat well, and what didn't

Note what you had and how you felt. Over time it shows which foods and drinks suit you. Mark something to avoid and it shows as not safe in every check from then on, and recipes that use it are no longer suggested. A diary that changes what the rest of the app tells you, not a list you keep on the side.

  • A meal, a drink or a snack: all count
  • Spot patterns, especially while testing foods one at a time
  • Avoid an item and every check and recipe knows, or just keep an eye on it

Not here to police your plate

Three decisions shape everything TrustCrumb does.

One answer per selection

Never a single merged verdict. Everything you avoid gets its own traffic light and a plain-language reason.

It asks before it guesses

When a label is unclear, like a “may contain milk” line or a shared bakery, TrustCrumb asks one yes/no question instead of guessing.

No judgement, ever

Not a calorie counter, and not here to change how you eat. TrustCrumb supports whatever you have chosen to eat or avoid, and never second-guesses a selection, a meal or a craving.

How it compares

Most food apps do one part of this, and charge for the good bits. TrustCrumb does the lot, and charges for none of it.

100% free

Free means free

No subscription. No premium tier. No features held back for an upgrade. Every check, every item at the shop, every recipe, the weekly plan and the diary: all of it, for everyone, for as long as you use it.

  • No subscription. Nothing renews, nothing to cancel.
  • No premium tier. There is one version, and this is it.
  • No locked features. Menus, the shop, plans and the diary included.

Three steps, then you're set

Set your selections once; every check, every shop item, every recipe and the plan uses them.

1

Set what you avoid

Pick your preferences: vegan, gluten-free, low sodium, keto and more. Change them any time.

2

Check, shop, cook

Check a label or a menu, see what suits you at your supermarket, pick a recipe that fits, or let the app plan your week. Everything is judged against the same selections.

3

Keep a diary

Note what you had and how you felt. Anything you mark to avoid shows as not safe in every check from then on.

TrustCrumb helps you decide; it doesn't decide for you

Every verdict is guidance based on the label information available, not medical advice. Ingredients and manufacturing change, labels can be wrong, and only you know your own tolerances. Always read the packaging yourself and decide based on your own knowledge and needs. See our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Shop and eat with a little less worry.
